DOME作为联合国“海洋十年”的大科学计划，积极参与首届联合国“海洋十年”海洋生态保护修复大赛。本次大赛吸引了12个国家海洋生态保护修复领域的130家政府职能部门、科研机构、高校、企业、公益组织及青年团队的积极参与。涌现出一批具有创新性和实践价值的技术方案与示范项目，涵盖红树林、滨海盐沼、海草床、珊瑚礁、牡蛎礁、砂质海岸、河口、海湾等海洋生态系统的保护修复，也涵盖了海洋污染防治与废弃物循环利用等领域。DOME大科学计划所在单位，上海海洋大学海洋科学与生态环境学院获本次大赛优秀组织奖。
Participation in the UN Ocean Decade Marine Ecological Conservation and Restoration Competition
Duration: August 20, 2025 – September 9, 2025
DOME, as a UN Ocean Decade Programme, actively participated in the inaugural UN Ocean Decade Marine Ecological Conservation and Restoration Competition. This competition attracted 130 participating government departments, research institutions, universities, enterprises, non-profit organizations, and youth teams from 12 countries, working in the field of marine ecological conservation and restoration. A number of innovative and practical technical solutions and demonstration projects emerged, covering the conservation and restoration of marine ecosystems such as mangroves, coastal salt marshes, seagrass beds, coral reefs, oyster reefs, sandy coasts, estuaries, and bays, as well as areas like marine pollution prevention and waste recycling. The College of Marine Sciences and Ecological Environment, Shanghai Ocean University, the host institution of the DOME Programme, received the Outstanding Organization Award in this competition.
